Director Biography

The daughter of Dominican & Uruguayan immigrants, Vyky left her career as a high school educator to pursue filmmaking. While acquiring her MFA in Film Production at Florida State University, she gained significant recognition for her science fiction short RESTORE and coming-of-age romance short OUR TERMINAL (selected as Jury Winner in the Student Awards by the Directors Guild of America, East). She writes and direct stories in hopes to provide audiences with a cathartic experience. She’s drawn to sci-fi and biopics that showcase characters in extraordinary situations. Vyky is fascinated by the power of culture so she began her pursuit of directing the future Britney Spears biopic and building her own sci-fi anthology: Re-Collection.
