The Gift
A Muscogee woman, Zelika (Natalie Pero), is chosen by her grandfather (Tom Bluewolf) to return a sacred object to their brothers and sisters living beyond the mountains.
The Gift is a glimpse into an ancient culture where sharing and a deep awareness of nature and spirit lie at the heart of things, where there is an understanding of the connections between people, the earth and one another.

The Gift was co-directed and created in collaboration by Sunny Moodie, Natalie Ulman, and Joshua Indenbaum.
Natalie Ulman is a female director of Native American descent from Suwanee, GA, USA. A graduate in film from the University of St Andrews in Scotland she is known for directing films with strong women at their center. She has directed Nighean na Coille (She Came From the Woods) a Gaelic short film and a Shakespearean feature film – As You Like It - set at a burning man festival.
Sunny Moodie is a director, born in the Highlands of Scotland. He has co-directed a Gaelic short film She Came From the Woods. He also has directed Rat Trap – a poppy short heist film. He is passionate about working with cast and crew to marry artistic flair and sound technical knowledge to bring film to life. With a background in Shakespeare and the theatre his films often unfold gently, with a focus on the landscape of the natural world.
Joshua Indenbaum is a producer and filmmaker who focuses on telling stories that open our hearts and speak to our humanity. He lives in Asheville, NC.
In the time when many people see turmoil and violence all over the world, The Gift reminds us of our ancestry and a time when humans had connection to their land and purpose with the world. The same world on which we still live. The film follows Zelika (Natalie Pero) on her journey to return that which has been lost by a tribe far to the West. Calling on the ancestral spirit of the Muscogee people, Tom Bluewolf illuminates our senses with a flourish of original music and deep wisdom throughout the film. Guiding us in understanding the self and acts of selflessness, it is an affirmation of our own journey and a reminder to reflect the expression of love back to the world.
"This gift comes from the heart - as it must and as it should." - Tom Bluewolf
