After 25 years as a highly regarded literary journal, Gertrude has evolved to be a fabulous, community focused writers' conference dedicated to fostering collaboration and cross-pollination: The Gertrude Conference (TGC)!
TGC will include a Closing Night Gala where the five winners of the Short Film Competitions will screen in between awarding "The Gertie" to winners in the screenwriting categories. Judges, presenters, and audience members will include agents + producers + established writers.
Winning scripts will be read by managers from Curate Management, Echo Lake, Management Artists, and Navigation Entertainment.

SHORT FILM WINNERS
Short films selected will screen at our Closing Gala on September 28, 2024 to a robust audience of peer and industry professionals! They will also receive two full access passes to the 2024 Conference ($500 value).
SCREENWRITING FINALISTS
All Finalist will be invited to an exclusive Roundtable at the 2024 Conference to meet & greet with agents, managers, and other professionals. Winners will be announced and awarded The Gertie Award during the Closing Night Gala on September 28, 2024 and will also receive a pass to the 2025 Conference. If you cannot attend, you will be notified after the Conference.
