The Gentleman Caller

The Wingfield family lives in the U.S, where diverse cultures and ethics exist. Tom Wingfield is a young aspiring writer who speaks Arabic. He dreams of traveling the world, but he has had to work in a shoe factory to support his family ever since his father abandoned them. His mother, Amanda, who speaks French, tries to convince Tom to bring home a groom for his sister Laura, who speaks Spanish. Tom succeeds in finding a gentleman caller, and here the surprise comes. The movie events revolve around 30 cities around the world in one theatrical scene.
The Gentleman Caller is based on the Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, with the participation of artists from different backgrounds and nationalities. Directed by Ahmed Saleh and produced by Mohab Saber.

Born in 1974 in Alexandria/Egypt. Gained a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Alexandria, 2002. He founded ElMadina Arts Association in 2000 with which he led many cultural projects in Egypt and the Mediterranean region, and ran several training programs in performing arts. In 2016 he was awarded the Mobaderoon Award on the whole of his work and contributions to arts and culture. (The award is given by the Etijah Foundation in Egypt in collaboration with the Syrgours Foundation in the US and the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation) He directed several international plays, and multilingual theatrical productions while mixing his work with various forms of media. He brought numerous plays to light, in addition to methods to implement and bring to life a social theatre on the street and in public spaces. and has five multiple issues around these roads. He conducted numerous workshops on performance, storytelling, capacity-building, and cultural management. He held three contemporary exhibitions. (Raya, Skina and Cavafy - Greek Foundation for Culture 2018), (Space - “An Alien's Journey to the Sea”- Greek Foundation for Culture 2018) (The Sky Is The Limit – Jesuit Culture Centre - 2019).
