Sherill Turner is an actress, writer and filmmaker. She’s one of the co-founders of It's a Funny Life Films, an independent female-led production company with the goal of creating quirky stories with heart.
Sherill co-wrote and co-produced the award-winning comedy shorts, Mind F*#k (Best Short Film at Broad Humor Film Festival; Best Comedy at Southampton International Film Festival; Best Comedy at Berlin Sci-Fi Film Fest; Best Rom- Com at the Canadian International Comedy Film Festival; Best British Rom-Com at Love Story Film Festival; Best Short at the Dorking Film Festival; Best Rom- Com at Heart of England Film Festival) and Mumatar (Best Havering Film at the Romford Film Festival; Best Comedy at the Rob Knox Film Festival; Best Costume Design at Southampton International Film Festival), staring Cecilia Noble, Matthew Kelly, Nathan Bryon and Olisa Odele.
Sherill made her directing debut with Mind F*#k and was nominated for the IMDb New Filmmaker award for 2018.
Sherill was approached by Tristan Ofield to write a script for an episode of his anthology series, Suitors. The General is Sherill’s second directing project.
Sherill has recently completed her third comedy short, The Family We Choose, which is currently in post-production.
