The Game

Four strangers wake up in a room, unaware of how they got there. The only thing in the room is a gun with one bullet and a piece of paper with a note saying only three can leave but one must die and with each passing hour the room will become hotter. As the temperature rises, so does the tension in the group.

Director Statement

Namibians have been longing for different stories to be told. Fans of the likes of Gone Girl, Saw or even Black Mirror will enjoy seeing a thriller done by Namibians for Namibians. Thrillers compel many audience members. Because there is uncertainty and discomfort that makes the ride of watching a Thriller film enjoyable, it is a genre that is liked by all genders, female and male.
While developing the concept of The Game I kept asking myself what's the scariest thing that can happen to me right now? And from that come the idea for the script. Working on The Game was one of the most fun challenges I've had, I've always been used to doing thrillers on stage but bringing it to screen was something different. The experience of working on this film will always help me in future projects because I learned to work on a tight shooting schedule. Working with actors and crew who were always willing to go the extra mile to have the film turn out great is something I'll always be grateful for, we strived to do something different with a little twist at the end.
