Director Biography - Daniel Blumensev

Daniel Blumensev, 25, is a filmmaker as well as an avid cinephile and film critic.

As a filmmaker, Daniel is best known for his short films: 'Jerusalem Syndrome' 2018 (Semi-Finalist of The Horror Movie Awards 2020, InShort Film Festival 2019), 'Eyes Wide Open' 2016 (Semi-Finalist of The Horror Movie Awards 2020, InShort Film Festival 2019) and 'Ledge' 2014 (Zurich Film Festival 72 Second Talent Contest 2014).

Apart from writing and directing films, Daniel is also an actor, best known for his role in 'Ledge', the short film 'Highway Romance' 2017 as well as having played lead roles in theater productions such as Nils Krogstad in Ibsen's 'A Doll's House' at Zurich International School in 2013 as well as the lead in Daniela Rubi's 'Lucid Travel' at Royal Holloway University of London in 2016.
Daniel has a BA in Media Arts from Royal Holloway University of London and is currently pursuing his passion for filmmaking, working on both, writing, directing and shooting his own films, as well as capturing other directors' visions through his videography work.

Also being an avid cinephile, Daniel writes articles for and reviews films at 'BlumenFalck Film Talk', a small but thriving company that he co-founded.
