Director Biography - Sam Ghobadzadeh

Sam ghobadzadeh, 22/06/1980.
He had a special talent and interest in art, especially painting and calligraphy since his childhood. He always won first place in these two disciplines at school. He pursued painting professionally in 2000, and in went to a painting university in 2001. His hard work in art led him to the World Championships and International Exhibitions, and he was a contest finalist in the US World Championships in 2015. He has held my art exhibition in Germany for three years (2017 to 2019). He has also participated in American competitions in 2020. He have held more than 15 art exhibitions in Iran such as the museum of Sa’dabad Palace. But his interest in writing led him to write a few short screenplays. He produced his first short film in cooperation with his friends. Although he had a lot of problems making this film, it has been a very interesting experience for him.

Director Statement

I made this movie for the first time with my friends in Iran in 2018. After editing that, I refused
to present it due to it's low quality. In 2019, when I was in a refugee camp, I made the movie
again in a better quality through the video call.
I made the movie because of law enforcement and the lack of freedom in my country. In this
movie, I tried not to take hopes from the people, but to encourage them to fight for freedom. I
showed this issue at the end of the movie by the final act of the child.
Although I used the women's role a lot, but the general purpose is to criticize law enforcement
in the society. I used the women's role because Iranian women have suffered the most from
law enforcement in the society.
