The 2021 Online Forwardian Film Festival seeks to promote and encourage the creative endeavors of filmmakers by showcasing their work in an annual festival environment. The festival takes place online with the presentation of short (up to 60 minutes in duration) and feature length (up to 90 to 120 minutes in duration) films.
The 2021 Online Forwardian Film Festival will be presented on The FA (Forwardian) Cinema Facebook Page and The Forwardian Cinema found on The Forwardian Arts Society Website.
The trailers of all films submitted will be posted on The FA (Forwardian) Cinema Facebook Page along with links to the entire film.
All films submitted to the festival will be subject to review by festival officials and will be selected based on the cinematic qualities of the work before being posted on the Forwardian Art Cinema Facebook Page to be viewed by the Online Festival attendees.
A panel of The Forwardian Film Festival officials will select up to 10 finalist from the films submitted for competition. Links to the entire film will be placed on The Forwardian Cinema found on The Forwardian Arts Society Website.
A judge will view the films selected as the finalist and will determine which films will be The 2021 Forwardian Film Festival's Best Short Film, Best Feature Length Film, and the film determined to be the Best of the Festival.
These films will be presented monetary awards for their cinematic endeavors.
All films competitive and non competitive will be eligible to receive The Forwardian Film Lovers' Favorite Certificate. The certificate will be given to the film that receives the most "likes" on The FA (Forwardian) Cinema Facebook Page during the festival.
The Cash Awards for films in competition in The 2021 Online Forwardian Film Festival are:
Best of the Festival - $300
Best Short Film - $100
Best Feature Length Film - $100
The Forwardian Film Lovers' Favorite Certificate.
If Possible, All Award winners will be featured in subsequent showings throughout the following year in the Bestival of Film Tour alongside winners of other Film Festivals.
1. Online submissions of films must be received from May 10th to June 30th. Notifications of what films will be included in this year’s festival will be sent on July 10th. The 2021 Online Forwardian Film Festival will take place from July 15 to the 31st, 2021.
2. Films submitted to the festival may be of any topic, subject, or cinematic style the filmmaker chooses with two exceptions. 1 – Films that promote hate will not be accepted. 2 – Films that are considered pornographic in nature will not be accepted.
3. Submissions of films must be accompanied with a trailer along with the film's title, name of the director, and a link to the entire film. However, if the film is too short to have a trailer, the entire film will be posted on both the Facebook Page. Those who are selected as the finalist will have their entire film will be posted in The Forwardian Cinema found on The Forwardian Arts Society Website.
4. Filmmakers who wish their films to be considered for the competition must pay an entry fee of $25 per film. Filmmakers who do not wish their films to be considered for the competition may submit their film for free. There is no limit to the number of films that can be submitted.
