Best First Time Director
Maggie has been working in theater and film her entire adult life and most of her childhood. Beginning with modeling (crowned Miss Teen Charm) she moved towards performance and has completed her Advanced Meisner Studies with Larry Siverberg. She studied technical theater at University and then went on to get a diploma in Radio, Television and Film. Chosen as one of the top film students in Ontario, Maggie has worked for most major networks and studios as a Script Supervisor. Always looking for a pathway to directing; Bellingham Film provided her with an opportunity to direct her first film and she is grateful. Maggie is currently looking for funding for her passion project, Aimo. A feature film, based on an historic novel, Aimo is the coming of age story of a young Finnish boy separated from his family during The Winters War.
It takes a village. In my case that was true. Thank you Bellingham for coming out to make this little film with me.
