Director Biography - Mateusz (Matte) Kranz

Matte Kranz is the son of two Polish Immigrants and he grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has always had a passion for performing and creating art, which has only flourished during his time as a BFA Acting student at UC Santa Barbara. He has worked on many theater productions as an actor, and has been the leading creative mind behind several short films and video projects ranging from a comedy mockumentary series to a moody short that is half claymation and half live action. He hopes to continue creating anything he can as he moves out of the college bubble.

Director Statement

This short film is a sort of hyperbole of my own experiences throughout the pandemic (don't worry the Vodka is metaphorical) and making it has kept me sane. I hope you enjoy. This is the first real short that I'm genuinely proud of with my entire being, so I'm deciding to put it out there and sending it to several festivals to see what happens!
