In Mumbai, the city of migrants - dreams, love and longing intertwine. A newly arrived electrician struggles to keep his phone charged to talk to his wife in the village; a balloon vendor and his pregnant partner long for respite from the noxious fumes of a nearby refinery; a college boy feigns interest in birds to impress a girl who leads guided flamingo tours.

Director Biography - Pranjal Dua

Pranjal Dua is a Mumbai-based filmmaker and alumnus of the Film & Television Institute of India. His films stem from a profound sense of wonder at the absurdity of the world around him. With his work, he hopes to examine his own position within a newly emergent India, struggling with its many contradictions. His short film Fly, Bird won two National Awards including Best Direction. His work has been presented at the Kochi Muziris Biennale, Clermont-Ferrand, Experimenta India & the International Film Festival of India. He has directed a series for Netflix and one for Amazon Prime. He is currently developing his first feature film.
