Director Statement

This film will always be very close to my heart because it is for me, a message to my now 15 year old daughter who has serious metal health issues. It was me trying to tell her that no matter what you look like, what has happened in the past or indeed what people expect of you, all you need to be is yourself. Each and everyone of us has the potential for greatness we just need to realise it. During filming we had several major delays with the lead dropping out twice, the second time was the evening before the shoot, this resulted in a 3 day shoot being cancelled and the whole production being put back a month, but all the stress and running around was absolutely worth it. I wanted the viewer to experience disorientation and a bit of confusion just like a real person with mental health issues would experience in the same vein as Mother(2017) by Aronofsky. It is an ode the mundane, where the crazy in us is always just out of sight.
