Synopsis: Before Roswell and before the Kenneth Arnold UFO sightings, there was the Maury Island incident. That alien-inspired event in 1947, over the waters of Puget Sound in Washington state, is the focus of this investigation.

What happened - and why people died - those are some of the questions the Maury Island investigators pursue, sometimes at their own peril.

Spoiler alert: there's a twist ending!

Director Statement

This was a challenging project for our team. It started with wanting to shed light on one of the lesser known UFO sightings - the Maury Island incident. We had two goals: to research the facts from archival records, and also to get a psychic reading about the death of two investigators of the case.

Along the way our crew was drenched with rain deep in the woods where a B-25 bomber had crashed. Our story didn't end as we'd expected, but I learned a lot I didn't know, even though I live half a day's drive from Maury Island.

We got a terrific boost for our visual story telling when we scored permission to use movie clips from the film 'The Maury Island Incident'.

I'm proud of the work we accomplished, despite an injury suffered during filming by our host, Clyde Lewis. He's a stand-up guy, but suddenly he couldn't stand up at all.
