Director Statement

When developing this idea I was thinking about the moments in life where we want to help people but are powerless to do so.

Those moments might make you wish you had superpowers like Spider-Man so you could help people the way he does. And yet, how useful would the ability to punch hard, jump high and stick to walls really be with helping solve real world problems?

The answer is they can’t help. And so in our film you have this character, Hannah Harper/The Fantastical Millipede, a young superhero of my own making, who despite having superpowers is feeling powerless, a feeling I felt was really interesting to make a film about.
