Zachary is an up and coming director from Seattle, Washington. In college, he studied Cinema and Media Studies. During this time, he took up screenwriting and producing. He has written, produced, and directed three short films, and cites his influences as David Lynch, Billy Wilder, Stanley Kubrick, and Alfred Hitchcock.
There are so many recognizable elements from Film Noir. Private Eyes and Femme Fatales; hand rolled cigarettes and fedoras; narration in the rain and razor sharp dialogue that just rolls off the tongue. No one film has all of these, but there's one element that links all of these films in this unique part of Cinema History. A sense of fatalism. Dread.
So when I began writing this story, knowing the ending from a true secondhand account, I knew I could count on one thing that would set our film apart: embracing the fatalism. And the rest came after that.
