Ray Mackintosh is working at his monitor at his desk in Statistics Canada. Three columns of figures are in front of him. The years 2030, 2031, 2032 appear. He toggles back and fourth between them. He takes a huge sip of his coffee and looks distraught. He says under his breath. “This can’t be right”. He gets out of his cubicle and marches to the office at the end.
Dave McGinnis is talking out loud to what appears a someone upstairs. Ray taps on his glass and says do you have a minute. Dave quickly finishes the call. Dave asks him what’s up you look upset. Ray tells him the deaths toll since the chips were introduced have gone up by 5% yearly, doubling each year. Dave tells him there is nothing wrong with the chips, this is just a coincidence. There is no point in panicking anyone. Let me handle this. Get some rest, you work too hard. Ray tells himself; Dave never takes extra work. Maybe I am panicking for no reason. Ray takes a copy of the stats home with him on a thumb drive.
That night Ray tosses and turns in his two bedroom condo. The one he use to share with his ex Vanessa who cheated on him. Plus politics at work. Paul says you should join me and Sylvia for dinner on the weekend. Maybe she can bring one of her single doctor friends. Ray facetiously says yeah that always works. They finish breakfast and Ray says I will let you know

Ray tells him he is going over his boss Dave’s head he is hiding something. Paul says what if you get canned. Ray says I can always do income tax reports for the public. Paul tells him we are going to have dinner this Weekend. I want to know more.
Ray is at home in his condo. He addresses and e-mail to the health minister of Canada. He attaches a copy of the data on his thumb drive. He hits send and feels relived. He crawls into bed and never wakes up the next day.

Paul is shocked to hear about his friends death. He knows he was perfectly healthy. He gets his wife to do an autopsy. It comes clean. She confirms he died of natural causes. Paul does not believe this and tells Sylvia about his phone call with Ray. Paul convinces his wife to take out his chip till he gets to the bottom of this. Paul takes some time off work and helps clean out Rays apartment. Paul finds the thumb drive and sees the figures. Paul asks Sylvia to check into the death records in the health system to see if there are any anomalies.
She tells Paul all natural causes all walks of life nothing peculiar. Paul decides to keep the thumb drive a secret until he knows more. Paul pays Dave a visit. Questions Dave and sees the new data. He knows Dave is lying. Sylvia than makes a shocking discovery she notices the cost of each individual who has died has died when the costs reaches $50,000.
Paul decides to visit the chip manufacturer in Ottawa. He starts asking some questions in regards to people tempering with the chips. Paul ruffles some feathers because when he gets home. He is watching TV when his wife discovers 2 chemicals that have just realized from Paul’s chip she has been examining. She runs them under the microscope and discovers the two of them are chemical compounds when mixed can stop the heart. Sylvia tells Paul the news and they both realize that someone tried to kill Paul.
Paul and Sylvia decide to pretend fake Paul’s death that night to lead the killers off Paul’s trail.
Sylvia goes back to work after the funeral. Sylvia takes her own chip out. Paul then goes undercover. Paul discovers the health minister has shares in the chip and gets kick backs form there use. Paul also realizes the number of immigrants that have been welcomed into the country have doubled as well.
Paul knows the Health minister is involved but is not sure if the Prime Minister is as well because the more immigrants that come into the country the more votes the Prime Minister gets.
Paul and Sylvia decide to share their story with the media. The Health Minister is arrested and it is mass chaos in Canada when people decide to cut out their own chips. The story goes global and there is a world decision there will never be chips injected into any humans for now on.
