After writing and producing many short films, promos and music videos, Leeds UK based Bob Jordan finally produced his first feature film, "Remember Remember : Grace and Mercy" on which he was also Director of Photography. This has been picked up by a distributor and released. He is now in the middle of post production on his second, "The Colour of Everything", which he directed from his own script.
"The Eternal Footman" takes its name from the T.S.Eliot poem "The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock" and lends heavily from the aesthetic of "The Seventh Seal". It takes the subject of death and deals with it in a most British way, by poking fun at it. Although the driving force for the narrative is a version of Death in a bad mood after constantly dealing with peoples complaints at the moment and manner of their demise, it still tries to answer the impossible question of how would we face death if we were given a chance to try to bargain and reason. The stages of grief gave this structure but Death himself has far more to say than the recently departed. Hopefully it finds an audience willing to listen and maybe contemplate how they would handle a similar situation.
