The Elite 8 Script

This is the pilot script for a 1/2 hour show based on my award-winning Web series, The Elite 8.

In 2019 The Elite 8 was an official selection at Film & Web Festivals in Los Angeles, France, Bilbao, The Hague, Caorle Italy (Venice), Israel, Moscow (where it won Best Web Series), Mexico City & New York City (Dolby Screening Room).

The Elite 8 is a story told through time about the eight girls & women who changed Lane's life.

Whereas the Web series has 1 relationship/girlfriend per 2-minute episode, the longer form series explores in depth what happens when all of the characters interact.

It's Sex and the City (for its New York City vibe) meets This is Us (for past, present & future storytelling) meets the amazing French series, Dix Pour Cent (for workplace dynamics).

I can't wait to share with you this new & expanded iteration of The Elite 8!

Writer Biography - Jeryl Parade

Jeryl Parade is a writer/director based in Washington, DC. In 2015 Jeryl wrote and directed the hit Capital Fringe play, Girl with Two Belly Buttons. This was a semi personal exploration of past (& future) boyfriends. For the sequel, one of the playgoers called on Jeryl to tell a similar story from a male's point of view. The Elite 8 - which can also refer to the NCAA college basketball quarterfinals - is Jeryl's answer to that challenge.
