Director Biography - Mark Thompson

 My name is Mark Thompson. I am an aspiring filmmaker and a talented editor living in Phoenix, Arizona. I have a comprehensive background in film and television productions. Extensive experience with Final Cut Pro and Avid, with a background in visual effects and graphic design. Extremely detail-oriented and committed to creating a high-quality finished product. I have editing and directing skills that I have learned from my experience over the years throughout the film school at Scottsdale Community College and on my own. I am a certified professional editor with Avid Media Composer. I have completed a variety of different film projects ranging from documentaries, short films, advertisements, broadcast news, and a music video.
 Some film inspired awards that I have won within clubs I joined for the spring 2016 semester at Paradise Valley Community College are the Puma Press Broadcast Team Member award and an Achievement Award from Club Zeitgeist for the "Z-Movement" music video.
 I was born in Oakland, California in 1993. I have lived in California, Washington, Nevada and currently Phoenix, Arizona. I grew up in a military family as my dad completed a 20 year career in the Navy. I love movies, and anything film related. I am passionate about my chosen career field.
