You must be registered for the Action On The Side Ealing 48 Film Competition.
Your film must be a minimum 5 minutes and a maximum 7 minutes (including credits). All participants in the film must be credited for their role (e.g. team, cast, crew, music). (Background talent and locations do not have to be credited, but it is a good idea to include them in your Thanks section.)
Your film must include the three random elements as announced at the Kick-Off Event. Your film must be recognisably within your allocated genre.
Your film must have the opening credit image for 2 seconds at the start of its film.
Everyone involved in your film must be credited (cast, crew) and you must provide signed release forms from your cast, crew, locations, and for music. A link to access the release forms (such as a Dropbox or Google Drive folder) must be submitted with your film.
No-one can be paid for taking part in your team or your film entry - everyone must be a volunteer.
The film must be download enabled. It must be in .mp4, .mov, or .mxf format, with an H264 or ProRes (4.4.4. or 4.4.2) compression, and be a maximum 6GB. Audio must be 48kHz, 24-bit or 32-bit, Stereo.
All entries must be in English or must have English subtitles.
By 8pm GMT Sunday 5th November (submission deadline), to be eligible for the prizes, your film must be:
1. Uploaded to Vimeo and processing, with download enabled;
2. Submitted to FilmFreeway with the video embedded and its title.
3. A link to the signed release forms included with the FilmFreeway submission.
After 8pm GMT Sunday 5th November, you can update your FilmFreeway submission to include:
> details of your cast and crew
> a poster
> behind the scenes still images
> logline / story description
> directors statement
By submitting your film to The Ealing 48, you confirm that you own the rights to distribute and showcase the film.
