The found footage landscape has always been an interesting space that I've wanted to navigate. I'm always absorbing inspiration from found footage classics to craft unsettling atmospheres, but I'm also influenced by the chaos of iconic slasher films.
My first feature film, THE DEPTHS, is a combination of atmospheric POV terror and wacky slasher tropes, with a hint of modern analog horror. I have a priority as a filmmaker to combine brutality with plenty of heart, but wanted to make a feature from an unhinged perspective that combines different elements of the horror genre. THE DEPTHS is a product of everything I find "scary good" and a presentation on how narrative-led found footage can take on a mind of its own.
