The Deamonne Family
With membership at an all-time low, their leader seeks new ways to keep the generations-old cult running by inviting a film crew to document them. This mockumentary explores those in the secluded Deamonne family while trying to understand the inner workings of the cult. The family can’t help but reveal how disorganized and ridiculous they truly are.

Samantha Tong is a filmmaker based in the GTA who is also skilled in photography. She is currently earning her Bachelors of Film and Television at Sheridan College, specializing in directing and cinematography. She is passionate and strives to tell stories in an effective yet visually creative way.
For this film in particular, she was inspired by comedy specials, sketches, and shows from her youth. She has always admired those who could tell a joke and evoke a roaring response. She wishes to continue that tradition by crafting hilarious situations even in the oddest of family homes.
