The Dead Sea
“The Dead Sea” is a story of horror, suspense and action.
It takes place in the underwater ocean of an alien planet, where a diver named Bahri Malik goes on one of his usual deep sea expeditions and accidentally brings back an alien parasite to his research base. The research base owned by Nautilus Industries is also occupied by another employee, scientist Catherine Li.
This story explores the horror that happens when the alien parasite attacks the facility and causes our protagonists to fight for their lives.

Skai Chow finds passion in making action packed animations due to loving action and adventure games and movies. He was also in the Singapore Armed Forces, previously led as a Third Sergeant and has built his leadership and teamwork skills during his time there.
He started his animation career as a freelance animator for “The Mysterious Lai Teck” shown at international art and film festivals. (2018-2019); then being a 3D Character Animator for DreamWorks’s “Gabby’s Dollhouse” (2021) and “Doug Unplugs” (2020-2021); then being a Gameplay Animator Summer Apprentice at 343 Industries’s “Halo Infinite” (2022).
While in school, Skai has also animated for the game “Varial” (2021-2022) as a Gameplay/Cinematic Animator; and was a Storyboard Artist/Animator for NASA’s “ICESat-2” Project (2022-2023).
Rebecca Lau loves the creative and technical aspects of being a technical artist. This allows her to be the intersection between art and technology. She appreciates the challenge of telling a good story through creating characters and environments.
Her career started last year as a Technical Animator Summer Associate at 343 Industries 'Halo Infinite' (2022). She will also be a Technical Animator Summer Associate at Turn 10. (2023)
As a student, Rebecca collaborated on multiple school projects. One was a thesis film "Pick Up" as a Lead Texture Artist, another a student-led game called "Varial" as the rigging artist. She was also the modeling/rigging artist for NASA's ICESat-2 and Powerhouse VFX's collaboration/mentorship programs. Being a part of all these projects has taught her production pipeline, expectations, teamwork, and professionalism.
Looking back to the day that I first wrote the script in 2021, it pleases me to see the progress that the team has made over the past 1.5 years to make this film possible.
This film depicts the hard work and effort of the overall collaboration done by everyone in the team, and it serves as a reminder to all the times we learned together as a team.
I hope that this film will inspire other students alike to be as enthusiastic as the team I have worked with, to reach for a goal that we worked hard to achieve. If there’s one word I can use to sum up the spirit of everyone in the team, it would be “ambitious”.
Everyone came with so many strong ideas, each with their own thoughts to share to improve and push the film to its maximum potential.
At the end of it all, I am proud of everyone and all the cards and talents they have brought to the table to produce this film.
