The Daughters of Bernarda

Moving between the universes of documentary cinema, theater, fashion and advertising.
Began his career as a photographer in 2001 after being an assistant to the peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino.
In 2010 he received the “First Photography Award” at the 8th International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Rome, with the work “O Tapa”.
In addition to lighting theatrical shows, as director of photography he was at the helm of the documentary series "O Nome dela é Gal" for HBO with direction by Dandara Ferreira.
His work has been represented by CINE since 2016 where he contributes to the advertising market by directing films for brands such as Volkswagem, Honda, Chevolet, Marisa, Tresemmé, Azaléia, Itaipava among others.
His film “The Daughters of Bernarda” released in 2020 is making an international career at festivals and so far won awards such as “Best Dance Film” at the London New Renaissance Film Festival, “Best Musical / Dance Film” in the September edition of the Festigious Film Festival in Los Angeles, “ Best of Narrative Feature Film ”at the Rethink Dance Film Festival in Fargo, North Dakota.
