Director Statement

We are driven by our passion for crafting intimate and emotionally resonant stories, We believe that small crews and contained narratives are fundamental to building a sustainable and healthy ecosystem for filmmaking. Our approach on this short film is a blend of American and Argentinan cinema, fusing the classic structure and magical elements of the former with the character-driven realism of the latter.
The inspiration for THE DAM came from Isidro's personal experience of supporting his brother-in-law during his recovery from a severe horse riding accident. As a psychologist, Isidro witnessed the depth of the relationship between his brother-in-law and his wife. This experience inspired him to write a script that reflected their emotional complexities.
