Blair smith is a American director,producer, actor who got his start in film in 2018 as extra on the set of the ww2 film "wunderland" starring Tom Berneger directed by Steven Luke. Growing up Blair always dreamed of making film and television and is avid lover of movies of all types but mainly horror films and romantic comedies. On the set of wunderland Blair had no background in film and had no idea being a extra meant staying out of the way. Blair networked on the film, and came back to do Steven Luke's next film "The great war" starring Ron Pearlman(hellboy, sons of anarchy) and Billy Zane (Titanic) Blair came on as a p/a but with a hard work ethic was bumped up to wardrobe supervisor for the second half of shooting as well as playing a featured extra. From there smith knew this was his passion and what he was meant to do. Blair started training with twin cities legendary acting coach and Co founder of the twin cities film festival Bill Cooper. After completing his courses Blair went on to direct his first no budget web series "unworthy" (winner best horror at ozark mountain web fest 2019) it is then Blair started creating short film's alongside his writing partner Wesley Johnson. The two quickly put out 4 no budget shorts earning them local respect. In late 2019 the two ventured out to create there first independent feature film with only a 29k budget "The Curse Of Raven Heights" which is slated to release late summer/ fall 2021. In between this smith got a supporting role playing "private sam hunt" as well as a art dept role and wardrobe asstiant role in Steven Luke's 2020 film "Battle of the buldge winter war" alongside again "Tom Berneger" and "Billy Zane". In May 2021 Blair would go onto direct his biggest film "The hand that feeds" with a much larger budget being brought on by lz productions MN. The film starred many local talent and also features veteran actor "Chris Mulkey" (Twin peaks, captain phillips) the film is slated for a fall 2021 release. Blair has worked on 10 feature films, and 25 short films as well as the TV show "my great big live wedding" (lifetime network) all in 3.5 short years. Blair works in many avenues of film and wears many hats. From director,producer,actor, script supervisor,ad, costume dept, and more. In 2020 Blair created "Magentic dreams productions LLC" with his girlfriend and actress Megan Pia. The two currently reside in the Minneapolis area.
