The Courts

The Courts is a true story about the childhood of a little African American girl living in a small mixed race corner in Santa Monica, California. She's the youngest of 4 children being raised by a single mother whose life's lessons and challenges made lifelong impressions on this young girls mind. She saw many things in the first 10 years of her life, first bliss, then tragedy, then separation but most of all she grew. Her mother's struggles helped her to realize that no matter who claims the world you grow up in the right to be who you are is always yours. The common adjectives that apply to most life stories words like happy, emotional, touching or sad can scratch the surface to describe The Courts but the only word that really describe it is "REAL"!!
