The Coral Reef Chronicles

The Coral Reef Chronicles" is a stop-motion animation created by the artist Popil (Zhuoyin He). It tells the story of a diving girl's adventurous journey. Her deep passion for the ocean leads her to encounter a peculiar multi-eyed shark during one of her dives. Intrigued by the shark's mysterious noises and the ethereal notes flowing from its mouth, she decides to venture inside the shark to explore its enigmatic world.

The entire film, including animation production, sound design, and direction, is the creative work of Popil. The heartbeat sound of the shark comes from Popil's son's ultrasound heartbeat.

Moreover, the film serves as a tribute to the fantasies and anxieties experienced during pregnancy, where the ocean symbolizes a mother's womb, filled with boundless imagination and beautiful wishes.
