Bu kısa film projesinin senaryosu yazılırken Türkiye’deki en önemli sorunlardan birisi olan çocuk işçiler konusuna dikkat çekilmek istenmiştir. Ekonomik ve çevresel koşullardan kaynaklanan sebeplerle çalışmak zorunda bırakılan 15 yaş altı çocukların, her ne şartta olursa olsun çocuk olduklarının unutulmaması gerektiğinin altının çizilmek istenmesi projenin gerçekleştirilmesinin ana motivasyonudur.
Çalışmak durumunda olan iki çocuk arasında gelişen ani dostluğun ana kaynağı; çocukluklarının altında yatan oyun oynama isteğidir. Film, çocuk işçiliğinin nedenlerini sorgulamamakta, konuya sadece çocuk gözünden, oyun oynama isteği bakımından bakmaktadır. Marangoz çırağı olan çocuğun her gün gördüğü kağıt toplayıcısı çocuğa kendi koşulları altında yapabileceği oyuncağı hediye etme biçimi ve aldığı karşılık etkileyici bir anlatımla sunulmak istenmektedir. Bu istek yine bu çocukların işçi olmaktan çok, çocuk olduklarını anlatma çabasından kaynaklanmaktadır.

While writing the script of this short film project, it was aimed to draw attention to the issue of child workers, which is one of the most important problems in Turkey. The main motivation for the realization of the project is to emphasize that children under the age of 15 who are forced to work due to economic and environmental conditions should not be forgotten, no matter what, that they are children.
The main source of the sudden friendship that develops between two children who have to work; underlying their childhood is the desire to play. The film does not question the causes of child labor, but only looks at the subject from the eyes of the child, in terms of the desire to play. The way the carpenter apprentice sees the paper collector every day and the way he presents a toy that he can make under his own conditions and the response he receives are presented with an impressive expression. Again, this desire stems from the effort to explain that these children are children rather than workers.
