Joshua Moroles is a first-time documentary creator with a background in Marketing/Advertising. This Podcast turned Documentary is what we hope will be a 4-8 part Limited Series.
Robert Espericueta is also a first-time Director. He is one of the Fishermen who helped save the only 3 survivors that fateful night. His storytelling capabilities and eagerness to share this story with as many people as possible help solidify this project.
We teamed up with PSJA West High School Theater Team to help present this documentary. It was important for Robert and I to collaborate with a Local Latino(a) because we wanted more depth to this story. Their footage is from 26:02-27:37 which is Gustavo Morales's interview and B-Roll.
This story takes place after a 20-year gag order was placed on the 4 Fishermen. Only now can this story be told. 20 years later and people on the Island are still hurting from the most tragic event that took place in this area.
