Daniel R. Monje (born February 26th, 2005) is a U.S. born film maker that started off his career on July 31st, 2019 with his short film titled, “The Clone”. "The Clone" was the finale to a short film trilogy he started on December 31st, 2018. He then later went on to remaster and compile, "The Clone", "My Clones", and "My Clone?", into one short film titled, "The Clone Saga" on August 28th, 2019. This compilation would bring together the overarching story told throughout the trilogy. Daniel R. Monje started out directing by making little videos with the people he had at hand around late 2016, but only in May of 2017 did he find a bit recognition for a solo school video project he made, which began to show people what he was capable of. After that his subsequent school video projects were looked forward to in class, whenever the option to make one was available. On the night of December 30th, 2018, he decided to make into reality a little idea he had for a short video. The short video would be filmed and edited that night but was only uploaded to YouTube the following day, on December 31st, 2018. That video was “My Clone?” and became the foundation for the trilogy that started his passion for telling realistic and grim stories. Now after "The Clone Saga" his career is open ended, and with starting a YouTube channel, while still trying to think of his next best film he has a lot to live up to. But who really knows what he’ll achieve?
“This trilogy marks the start of me becoming a true film maker by telling stories with complexity and with serious intent behind them.” - Daniel R. Monje, 2020
