The Chess Maker
The genre of the film is mystery drama. The elements from the Indian mythological story Ramayana with a modern twist.
A young private investigating officer, sees a dream about getting trapped however not able to figure out what’s happening.
He arrives at the home of famous ageing artist, Goutam Sovni, to investigate the case of a missing man Arjun. There, he is greeted by Goutam's young and beautiful wife Ahilya. Suren sees an beautiful and unique chess board and art works , paintings in the lounge room.
A stone, which is encased in glass, is also placed there. Ahilya subtly flirts with Suren in the presence of her husband. She then returns to her room.
Suren asks Goutam about Arjun, a model who has been missing since working with Goutam. Goutam tells Suren that the stone has magical powers and that anybody who touches it turns into whosoever he or she wishes. He tells Suren that Arjun knew of the stone and suggests that he may have used it.
Suren does not believe him initially but agrees to try it. Suren touches the stone and goes to meet Ahilya. The story ends where chess making continues with humans.

Sameer Borkar (or Sam) is a multi-disciplinary professional based in Melbourne, Australia.
He has a background in IT however he is an avid movie lover. Sameer has successfully completed short film making course in 2016 where he learned to use professional film equipment as well as all angels of film making. Since then he has made 3 short films and supported his filmy friends in various projects.
Sameer has enjoyed acting on stage as well as on screen after completion of professional screen acting course in Melbourne.
Born and raised in Pune, India, Sameer came to Australia in 2002 for higher studies in engineering.
Sameer also has been a founder of 6 ventures since then while working as an IT professional for 15+ years in Australia in various lead roles.
Two successful ventures have been co-founded with wife Akshaya Borkar
• The Art and Craft gallery (International Award-Winning gallery for handmade artists) and
• UnTACG (Digital Marketing Agency).
Sameer is living in Melbourne with his two kids and wife Akshaya Borkar.
