The Catalyst

In 2015, Steve and Tracy Hennigan purchased a home with a plan to renovate the property to be the most sustainable and energy-efficient home imaginable. They wanted to capture the earth's natural resources (sun, rain, and geothermal) and prove that modern comforts and smart investments don’t have to come at the expense of the environment.

After a few years of planning and construction, they made their dream a reality. Along the way, they broke down barriers and laid a path for others to follow. They proved that it was possible and that these techniques can be replicated in order to retrofit existing homes, instead of bulldozing and rebuilding from the ground up.
