The Cannibals

'The Cannibals' is a darkly comic story about a goody two-shoes called Luna, and her reformed fiancé, Boil.

Luna is proud of having weaned Boil off his anti-social diet, and she’s determined that he should be a vegan like her. But today Boil’s domineering mother is coming over for dinner, and she’s bringing a dish with her that’s going to work Luna up into a frenzy!

Which woman will assert her control over the apple of their eye, and will Boil give in to his childhood craving?

After having produced 'X Marks The Spot' and 'After The March', Daniel D. Newman finally decided to try his hand at directing. Had he known how just how much fake blood he was going to get on the walls, perhaps he never would have dared!

Director Statement

When I read Harry Pages' 'The Cannibals', I loved his outrageous Freudian humour, and I was determined to bring his amazing screenplay to life.

Although 'The Cannibals' was my directorial debut, I was fortunate to find a really experienced cast and crew. And thanks to them, I feel we did a great job of bringing Harry's blood and guts to life.

As you will see for yourself, 'The Cannibals' boasts outstanding performances, a tongue in cheek score, and some generous helpings of both pastiche and parody.
