Multiple Emmy Awards winning filmmaker Sam Potter is a conservationist and adventurer. Growing up on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, Sam was raised to respect the land, the sea and the Hawaiian culture.
As a Gen Z’er and a social media native, Sam’s passion and commitment to environmental activism have taken him around the world, directing films that highlight the knowledge and beauty of indigenous people and their struggle to maintain their way of life in the shadow of a constantly encroaching modern world.
The insights gained from his travels have ignited in Sam a passion for ancient wisdom, especially the importance of reciprocity with the natural world.
Through his future films and endeavors, Sam hopes to encourage greater understanding and cooperation by telling stories that inspire us to connect with each other and with the planet we get to call home.
