Derek DeRoche is an independent filmmaker from the San Francisco Bay Area. His debut feature film, "Chauffeur," an arthouse comedy/drama that he wrote, directed, and edited, was released in 2019. He has written and directed his own award-winning narrative short films, as well as working in various roles on other projects, in the San Francisco filmmaking collective Scary Cow Productions.
"The Button at Work" is a micro movie shot on iPhone with a cast a crew of two people. Through comedy and suspense, it raises questions about ethical epistemology in the face of social and professional norms.
