“The Bus Stop” – a course work for Kyiv National Karpenko-Kary University of Theatre, Cinema and Television. This abstract and weird story follows a black cat trying to find his place in the world, returning back to his roots and finding peace in his starting point.

Director Biography - Kateryna Andryivna Omelianenko

Omelianenko Kateryna - was born in 2003 in Kyiv and now living there. From the early childhood she was interested in cartoons as well as in comics. Kateryna got enrolled in Kyiv National Karpenko-Kary University of Theatre, Cinema and Television in 2020. From that time she started making her own short animation films with unusual and amorphous characters. She worked on a film based on an Ukrainian proverb “Ех, якби та якби, та на голові виросли гриби…» (with that name of animation relatively); was working on a short animation project “The City” on request by Kyiv National Museum of Taras Schevchenko; participated in an animation music video “A Cherry Orchard Near The House” (based on Taras Schevchenko’s poem). She also was working on such projects as “Monomyth” and “A Traveller Named RAF”. In 2022 she created her short film called “The Bus Stop”.
