Director Statement

The Boy is a meditative film about a subject that many have tried to encapsulate in some form or another. Rather than encapsulate we’ve attempted in a sense to free it, celebrating the ineffable moments of the human experience that are often overlooked.

As a depiction of life and loss this film is:

A child forced into adulthood,
A winter cut short by the fires of man,

Culminating in a visceral human moment in finding hope in the darkest times.

You are invited to experience the beauty that circumvents tragedy.
