A recipient of the India's most prestigious, President’s National Film Award, Aman has directed over two hundred commercials with the most reputed agencies and clients from around the world.
Seldom foraying into long format for meaningful work, Aman is currently working on an anthology feature that promises powerful, moving performances with a diverse cast and crew.
I have been strongly affected by the happenings around the world in the name of religion, faith and belief. In my own country, there have been mob lynchings, book burnings, riots, inking attacks against people in the name of religion.
Many artists and journalists have been targeted, attacked and killed, have their books and art burned and each of these violences have been guided by the disoriented people who have a fixed idea or a stern interpretation of their holy books.
Everyone in the world seems to be holding on to his/her holy book and dictating terms to the others.
They wear it on their faces in a way that they cannot see anything else beyond it.
This film is my creative expression of the subject.
