Joshua Christiyan Robert was born and raised in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Joshua is currently taking his degree in Multimedia University Cyberjaya. He began his filmmaking journey at the age of 18, partaking projects in church and some of his own passion projects. He hopes to bring the importance of relationship between family and friends in his films.
Family and friends has always been the topic that I fond with.
Us individual is built by the foundation of a family. We can never understand a person until we understand their family background. Now each individual is raised differently based on their culture and tradition. They all treat their elders differently and some of them relies on their children to take care of them until they grow old.
Chinese culture would want their children to stay close to them and some might even want to stay with them. This is a way to show respect and act filially.
For the blessing's character Lai Fung as the Mother and Jessica as the daughter, they both have almost the similar character trait. They always wants to protect each other from harm and providing for each other in the times of needs since the passing of their Father. But saying goodbye to eachother is the hardest for the both of them.
The Purpose of this film is to build a bridge between the old and young generation. By building a bridge means having mature understanding of their needs and thoughts.
