Devante J Johnson is a young African American who desired to tell narratives based on collective experiences being black and raised in a Christian home.
As someone who loves all genres of film, he was particularly drawn to horror in his adult life. Using this genre to debut his first public short film, he felt that often it is a great depiction of the human experience if the stories were well written.
Having his Bachelors In Science in Criminology, he sought to use his knowledge to create films that catered to the black experience living in NYC.
