The Birds and The Bees

The birds and the Bees is an animation about real women's issues.
There is hardly any representation about women's issues in media especially animation, However it is getting better. The Birds and The Bees is an animation about abortion. The animation follows a pigeon who is a young woman in her 20's struggling with such a decision.
The aim within my project is to make the audience aware of how conflicting the choice of having an abortion is and the difficult emotions one goes through when having this experience. I will showcase the conflict of these emotions through personifying them as entirely different characters.
After also seeing how abortion is portrayed in mainstream animation I aspire to make a film or 'short episode' that is less shocking but feels more real and authentic with emotion.
Womanhood is complicated however the fact of the matter is we all have a choice in how we want to live our lives and who we want to be as people before being women.
