The Birdfeeder
The film focuses on the wildlife of Ford Park cemetery, in particular a small tree covered in bird feeders and brimming with wildlife. We interview the man who set it all up, Mark Wilson, in which we explore why he set it up, why he continues to keep it going, his thoughts and feelings about the wildlife there and discuss its effect on the locals and visitors of the cemetery.

James Cooper is a versatile film maker who has explored many mediums and forms of storytelling within his personal work. Using live action, animation and even shadow puppetry to create narrative, documentary and experimental films. He wishes to continue widen his scope of visual story telling, with a particular focus on documentary, especially natural history.
This film for me is a glimpse into small haven found with in a loud and busy city. It is a look at a mans deeply personal and heart-warming connection to his local wildlife, my favourite moment is when he is watching the pigeons, most see them as disgusting pests but he can't help but smile, entranced as he watches them eat.
