I am strongly interested in film. I am first time in making my short film project, THE BIN. I worked the story about the life of the Deaf where I learned from the Deaf people who experienced their struggled life through social media and physical interaction.
The Deaf are pretty much like hearing people who have normal lives. In fact, Deaf people have lots of abilities. The Deaf can do anything except hear. Sign language is a beautiful and unique culture.
It is better to wait until they have reached adulthood to see if they want to have this device. At that age deaf individuals are responsible enough to handle this decision and it is now their choice if they want to undergo the implant procedure.
I respect those hearing parents who want their deaf children to be part of the hearing world but if you really look at it, a cochlear implant is a tool for the hearing parents, not for the deaf child.
I wrote, produced, and directed my independent short film titled, THE BIN. It is to advocate and bring awareness to the general public about the discrimination against the deaf and the protection from the cochlear implant.
My project brings advocacy and awareness.
