Bees' Need

LOGLINE: Mary Woltz spends every awake hour nurturing and caring for her girls – her honeybees – in an environment increasingly dire.

SYNOPSIS: Mary Woltz, the owner and operator of the Bees’ Need, has dedicated her life to save the bees – and eventually the entire world. The annual loss of the honeybee at a national level has since 2006 been 35%. A decrease that will have severe consequences for the environment of the world. Every day is a struggle for Mary to nurture “her girls” and to provide the best possible surroundings in the rural Eastern Long Island - and this particular day we're invited along on her first check-in on her girls after a long winter.
