Director Biography - Blaise Williamson

Blaise is 17, from Ontario. She is in her graduate year of high school. She loves rock climbing, acting, and photography. She is currently a student drama teacher and a SHSM Arts and Culture Major. She looks forward to every opportunity to share her creative talents.

Director Statement

The Bear is a short that I made to challenge myself after coming off of the production of a film that I wasn’t happy with. I wanted to make something I was proud of, so I sat with my boyfriend, brainstormed for an hour and the idea for The Bear was born. It was made in a really short amount of time, but I’m proud of the overall result. A lot of the aesthetic choices were inspired by Coraline.
