The Barn Project

Shortly after arriving in rural Wisconsin farm country, Peter Stathas Dance Company embark on a variety of approaches to synthesize an original dance. This observational documentary delves into the first steps, construction, and passage of ideas through the body. Stathas' collaborative approach begins by discussing a concept. Then, through prompts and experimentation, the dancers expand on these ideas using their own skill, knowledge, and intuition. This is a glimpse at the challenges and collaboration that the close-knit company works through to develop their creation.
