The Band Famous® came to life in 2013; drawing from the members' shared love for music, art, software development and technology. The band actually formed over a live-stream, as Minnesota Public Radio’s Jay Gabler and David Campbell joked, “they filmed their own birth”. Their debut album was improvised in a jazz type fashion, while their 2nd album, Awakening, is a genre-bending delight! Musically, The Band Famous has been nicknamed "Miss Björk Against the Machine" (Björk meets Rage Against the Machine), along with being compared to Prodigy, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, St. Vincent, Adele, Nine Inch Nails, and Fiona Apple.
Both Band Famous members, Norell and Zander, besides being freaks about art and music, are big movie lovers. They've been extremely passionate to date, not only programming all of their websites and apps, writing, producing, and self-distributing all of their own music, but also casting, directing, editing, doing post-production and more with all of their self-produced music videos released to date. The Band Famous is composed of real-life openly queer, poly, married music duo Norell and Zander, who also happen to produce adult content together as well and are quite well known Ala KamasutraCandy.
The Band Famous is only in competition with themselves. They compete to be better versions of themselves. It's a lifestyle and mindset and daily goal.
