Writer Biography - Michael Balin

I was born and raised high on the cliffs of northern New Jersey, overlooking New York City from across the mighty Hudson. I received my theatrical training at Rutgers University and the Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick, where I was offered my first Actors' Equity role at the Tony Award-winning Crossroads Theater Company.

Having lived in New York, Florida, and Los Angeles, I have performed as a professional actor and singer in theaters across the country and have worked in television, feature films, national commercials, print ads, radio and internet spots, industrials, video games, music videos, and live events. I have written screenplays and stage plays that have garnered numerous writing awards - most notably in the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship Competition and the National Playwright's Conference. (michaelbalin.com)
